Andrew Gillum (D-FL) for Governor Identity

In 2018, I had the opportunity to work on Andrew Gillum's historic gubernatorial campaign in Florida while at Revolution Messaging. Gillum was making history as the first African American nominee for governor from a major political party in Florida. The goal was to create something that felt both professional and approachable, something that would resonate with Florida's incredibly diverse population while supporting a candidate who was breaking new ground in the state's political landscape.

Though Gillum ultimately lost to Ron DeSantis in a close race, the campaign's visual identity successfully supported a groundbreaking candidacy that representation and engaged communities that had never seen themselves reflected in a statewide race before.

(Update: I found out my design is featured at the National Museum of African American History & Culture)
